‘Tama a tama’
When translated means ‘Son of sons’.
Representing our very special mokopuna born in Australia. Our grandson of sons has inherited a special place in the world, defined as the first born son of fifth son. Being the sixth son to carry the full name over of his forefathers.
Keeping the name alive for the past six generations of sons. His first born son will inherit the tradition.

The taniko pattern applied is the ‘Patiki’ it represents the ‘Flounder’. It’s form is symbolic of abundance and blessings by bestowing hospitable good luck and prosperity. The band is woven from top quality NZ wool and also locally sourced.
