‘Te Hana Nui’ When translated means ‘The Big Glow’. 
(Full length version of my ‘Te Hana’ kahu design). It is a stunning arrangement of shimmering black paua coloured feathers with an rich amber impact.

The influence for this kahu is all about providing hope too families and represents the need too nurture, protect, nourish, and cherish every single child, so that they may be enriched with the tools too thrive unconditionally.
Growing better families for a brighter tomorrow, ensuring our future generations are entitled to the birthright of receiving the basic necessities in life, whilst being raised within loving families. Without the fear of intimidation or violence.

I am inspired to contribute a design that highlights the importance of protecting children, as I have an unwavering urge to protect every child from the act of abuses and uninhibited violations. My journey involves proactively advocating as a dedicated child protection advocate. Maintaining a social media presence as the administrator and founder of a FB community page called,
V.O.I.C.E NOW - Violence On Innocent Children Ends NOW.

All tāonga are made too order, fully lined and finished with poplin detail.

The feathers used are locally sourced from a reputable supplier, and of a high grade quality.

The taniko pattern applied is the ‘Patiki’ it represents the ‘Flounder’. It’s form is symbolic of abundance and blessings by bestowing good luck and prosperity. The band is woven from top quality NZ wool and also locally sourced.

Come up with your own design in a different coloured taniko band, or change up the feather colours too suit your preference.
