‘Wairere’ when translated means,
‘Waterfall’ or ‘Stream of Water’.
The royal blue feather hues mixed with the turquoise green feathers are a lovely combination. 
Giving a subtle representation of the ebbs and flow of natural spring water coming from our mighty maunga/mountains,  cascading out through our awa/rivers too the sea.
